Face Painting

We, Jandy Salguero & Co, the facepainters, will not paint anyone who, in the opinion of the painter, appears to be suffering from a cold sore, conjunctivitis or any other infectious skin complaint.  Similarly, eczema, open cuts and grazes are not suitable surfaces to paint.  In these cases, a design on the cheek, hand or arm may be possible.

We are unable to paint anyone suffering from cold or flu symptoms.

All materials used have been designed for professional use, are hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, and comply with US cosmetic regulations.

This does not preclude an allergic reaction, however, so if your child has very sensitive skin, or is allergic to a range of common products, please do discuss this before the child is painted.  It is always possible to carry out a patch test, or to paint a small design on the hand (where skin is less sensitive) to be on the safe side.

Face paint is not recommended for children under 2 years old.

If a child is reluctant to have his or her face painted, the painter will not comply with the wishes of the parent or caregiver over the desire of the child!  Young children do not always understand face painting, someone they do not know is doing something to them, which they cannot see, so a small design on the hand may be more enjoyable for them.  They can see what is being done, feel in control of the situation, and can look at it and enjoy it for the rest of the day.

We will not paint signs, symbols or other designs which are in any way racially or religiously offensive, or of a sexual nature.

We will not paint any part of the body which would normally be covered by swimwear.

We reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone who is abusive, violent, or intoxicated.

My kit is cleaned after each job.  I use only the highest quality paints, sponges and brushes and take pride in my appearace.

Please do not touch, or allow children to touch or play with the paints and equipment.
